Terms and Conditions

The plain version: you join the waitlist, we hold a free activation code for you, and we look after your details. The detail below is the formal wording behind that.

Last updated 4 June 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ewa.tax website and the .EWA early access waitlist programme operated by easywaytoaccounting Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

By submitting the signup form on ewa.tax, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

To use the .EWA waitlist and, when available, the .EWA service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a UK tax resident or have UK tax obligations.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information when signing up.

If any information you provide is found to be false, incomplete, or misleading, we reserve the right to remove your waitlist entry and revoke any activation code issued.

3. What you are signing up for

The signup form on ewa.tax registers your interest in the .EWA service and reserves an early access activation code for you. This code entitles you to two months of free access when the .EWA service launches.

By signing up, you are not entering into a paid subscription. No payment information is collected and no financial obligation is created.

4. Your activation code

Upon signing up, you will receive a unique activation code via email. This code is personal to you and should not be shared, sold, or transferred.

We reserve the right to invalidate any activation code that we believe has been misused, duplicated, or obtained fraudulently. The activation code is valid until the .EWA service launches and the early access window closes. We will notify you via email before your code expires.

5. The .EWA service (when available)

The .EWA application is currently in development. Features described on the website, including automatic categorisation, real-time tax estimates, HMRC Shield, filing, and AI bookkeeping assistant features, represent our planned product and are subject to change.

We do not guarantee: a specific launch date; that all described features will be available at launch; or that the service will be compatible with all devices or browsers. When the service launches, separate terms of service will apply to the live product.

6. Your data

We hold as little as we can, and only what we need to email you your code. Full details of what we collect, how we store it, and your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.

In summary: we collect your name, email, and business type. Data is stored securely in a Google Workspace environment with restricted access. We do not share your data with any third party. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@ewa.tax.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: provide false or misleading information in the signup form; use automated systems (bots, scripts, scrapers) to interact with the website; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, data, or other people's information; use the website or service for any unlawful purpose; or reproduce, duplicate, or resell any part of the .EWA website or service without our written permission.

8. Intellectual property

All content on ewa.tax, including text, design, logos, graphics, code, and the .EWA brand, is the intellectual property of easywaytoaccounting Ltd and is protected by UK and international copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any part of the website or its content without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the .EWA website and waitlist are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the website will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or reliance on any information provided.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

10. Tax information disclaimer

.EWA is a financial management and bookkeeping tool. It is not a substitute for professional tax advice from a qualified accountant or tax adviser. Information displayed by the .EWA service, including tax estimates, categorisation suggestions, and compliance flags, is generated automatically and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any tax return filed with HMRC, whether or not you use .EWA to prepare it.

easywaytoaccounting Ltd accepts no liability for penalties, fines, interest charges, or other losses arising from reliance on information provided by the .EWA service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email. Continued use of the website after changes have been communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may remove your waitlist entry and revoke your activation code at any time if: you breach these Terms; you request deletion of your data; or we discontinue the .EWA service or the early access programme. You may withdraw from the waitlist at any time by contacting hello@ewa.tax.

13. Governing law
