Privacy Policy
The plain version: we collect three things, keep them in one locked place, never sell them, and delete them the moment you ask.
1. Who we are
easywaytoaccounting Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the website ewa.tax and the .EWA application. We are a company registered in England and Wales.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, as defined under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What data we collect
When you sign up to the .EWA waitlist or early access programme, we collect three things, and each one has a clear purpose:
We do not collect payment information, IP addresses, device fingerprints, or browsing behaviour. We do not use cookies for tracking, and we do not use analytics tools.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used strictly to run the early access programme:
- To generate and send you a unique early access activation code.
- To notify our team internally that a new signup has come in.
- To contact you when the .EWA service is ready for you.
- To prepare your account for the service when the app launches.
We will never use your data for marketing to third parties, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose beyond operating the .EWA service.
4. How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored in a Google Workspace environment hosted on Google's infrastructure within the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom. Access is restricted to a maximum of three authorised .EWA team members.
- Access to all stored data is restricted by Google account authentication.
- The data store is not publicly shared or indexed.
- Google Workspace provides encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) at the platform level.
- No data is sold, rented, licensed, or otherwise disclosed to any external party.
- Activation codes are generated independently, never derived from your personal data.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not share your personal data with any third party. The only external service involved in processing your data is Google (Google Sheets and Gmail), which acts as our data processor.
We do not use analytics platforms, advertising networks, CRM tools, or any other third-party services that process your personal data.
6. How long we keep your data
We retain your waitlist data until the .EWA application launches and your account is either activated or you choose not to proceed.
If you activate your account, your data transfers into the live service under an updated privacy policy. If you do not activate, your waitlist data is deleted within 90 days of the service launch date. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
To exercise any right, email hello@ewa.tax. We respond within 30 days, free of charge.

8. Children
The .EWA service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that data has been collected from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
9. Local storage
When you submit the signup form, a copy of your form data may be stored in your browser's local storage for your convenience. This data stays on your device only, and is not transmitted to us beyond the initial submission. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
